Green Initiative
We are pleased to report on the progress made by our Green Committee, which is now fully established, and meets on a bi-monthly basis. We are now separating and recycling all types of paper and any cardboard used in the office. Ware & Kay literature is all now printed on FSC approved paper and staff are also being encouraged to print and copy double-sided, so as to save paper. We are also recycling the plastic, tins and glass used by our staff, whilst our used printer cartridges are now collected and recycled in aid of charity. We have even managed to cut down on our water use thanks to the ‘hippos’ placed in our toilet cisterns.
In an effort to keep staff informed and thus pro-active, the Green Committee e-mails Green Tips office wide, informing employees of changes they can make in their habits in order to make a difference. These tips have been very well received, with staff reporting that they have made an effort to change to greener practices both in and out of the office.
