The Yorkshire Law Society has managed to secure Justin Urquhart Stewart as their speaker at their Annual Dinner on 19th November, 2014 which is being held at The Merchant Adventurers' Hall in York.

The Yorkshire Law Society is the second oldest local law society in the country and not only promotes the interests of its members but also those of the clients of solicitors in the Yorkshire Law Society area.

Justin Urquhart Stewart is one of the most recognisable and trusted market commentators appearing regularly on television and radio as well as writing in numerous magazines and newspapers. Justin originally trained as a lawyer and barrister and has a unique understanding of the financial market's roles and benefits for the private investor.

Michael Peach, the President of the Yorkshire Law Society and also Director at Ware & Kay Solicitors Ltd, who runs the firm's Wetherby office said "We are delighted that Justin has agreed to be our after-dinner speaker.  His great popularity as a public speaker on the financial markets and world economic affairs has certainly meant that tickets have been sold quickly but there are still a few left for those who are interested if you would like to make contact with Jane Radcliffe on 01904 680024.  Justin will be talking to us about national and international economic affairs, but with particular relevance to those of us who carry on business in Yorkshire. He will include some memorable and useful economic predictions upon the effects that the forthcoming general election will have on the business environment. Those who have seen or heard Justin speak in the past will very much look forward to his informative and entertaining talk.

Justin said "Global Recovery or are we just in remission?  As the USA comes off the QE life support, the UK starts an election campaign and the Eurozone soufflé deflates - it is hardly surprising that the markets are seeing some volatility. The global economy is growing and there has been a recovery, but is this confidence enough to see off the "sum of all the fears"? What is likely to happen next and how should we be investing our assets?"

As President, Michael invited many members of the team from Ware & Kay together with their guests. The firm which is based in York & Wetherby offers a broad range of legal services and pride themselves on their approachability and their commitment to building lasting relationships with clients and this when combined with traditional client care has given them a well-recognised reputation.
