Background
Debbie Carr is Head of HR at Ware & Kay Solicitors, bringing over 30 years’ experience in Human Resources across both the public and private sectors.
Before joining Ware & Kay, Debbie built an extensive HR career across government and the private sector, working in industries including marine, engineering, forensics, property and legal services. With more than 12 years’ experience in the legal sector, she has successfully led HR through periods of significant growth, organisational change and acquisition.
Throughout her career, Debbie has led HR functions through complex mergers and acquisitions, significant organisational restructuring and major change programmes, skilfully guiding businesses and their people through periods of transformation while embedding strong values, robust governance and a genuine focus on employee wellbeing.
She plays a key role in shaping the culture that defines Ware & Kay, championing the firm’s people strategy, wellbeing and professional development so that every colleague can thrive.
Outside of work, Debbie enjoys theatre, gardening, walking, travelling and scuba diving. These pursuits reflect her enthusiasm for both creativity and the outdoors and help her bring energy and balance to her role leading the firm’s people function.
