Ware & Kay Solicitor Cycles For Charity

Michael Peach from Ware & Kay Solicitors Ltd and President of the Yorkshire Law Society is undertaking a "double-marathon" cycle ride of more than 52 miles on Sunday 17th August in order to raise money for Martin House.

As President, Michael is combining his duties leading the solicitors of Yorkshire with running the Ware & Kay Wetherby office. One of his duties as President is to nominate the Society's Charity of the Year and Michael has chosen Martin House Children's Hospice near Wetherby as his chosen charity. Ware & Kay have been active supporters of Martin House for many years and Michael has taken time out of his busy working schedule as Director at Ware & Kay where he specialises in Commercial and Residential Property to visit the hospice. This has enabled him to understand the work that it does for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses and their families both during their lifetimes but also in the years following their bereavement. The hospice is the only one for children and young people in North, West and East Yorkshire.

Michael said "Until March of this year, I have hardly ridden a bike for more than 30 years but have been motivated to do this following my visit to Martin House earlier this year. I was impressed not only by the great facilities and treatment that they give to patients while actually in the hospice, but also the care for them throughout their period of ill health and for their families for several years after the loss of their child or sibling".

"I am determined to complete the route with a group of friends, which will start and finish in Wetherby and go along the side of the River Ouse in York. Your sponsorship would be an added incentive".
