About the YTHC Will Writing Campaign

Ware & Kay Solicitors is working closely with The York Teaching Hospital Charity (YTHC) to give you the opportunity to have your Will written for FREE when you choose to remember the YTHC in your Will or make a donation on the day at our offices in York or Wetherby.

The amount you choose to leave in your Will is entirely up to you. You could leave a set amount, a percentage of your estate or simply what is left once your family and friends have been taken care of. If you choose to make a donation on the day, YTHC are asking for a minimum donation of £120 for a single Will or £170 for a pair of joint Wills.

Why make a Will?

Only three out of ten of us will make a will. This means we are not planning for the future of our loved ones, but for most of us, this is what life is about. By putting our affairs in order, regardless of how big or small they are, you can make things much easier for your loved ones later.

How your legacy can make a difference

Legacies to the YTHC can have a lasting benefit to anyone who uses the services offered by one of our hospitals or community nursing teams. Thanks to a recent legacy, the YTHC have been able to equip the new Ambulatory Care Unit at Scarborough Hospital.  The unit provides immediate transfer to patients who come in through their Emergency Department to prevent them from being admitted to hospital.  A generous gift of £34,000 allowed the YTHC to provide the unit with all of its equipment and added luxuries to make a patient's experience more comfortable.
