Peter Kay as new president Peter Kay, Senior Director of Ware & Kay Solicitors Ltd, with offices in York, Wetherby & Malton, took office as the President of the Yorkshire Law Society last night during a reception at York's Merchant Taylors' Hall.  This is the Society's 230th year and Peter is the 6th family member to lead and represent the region's legal profession. The Yorkshire Law Society is the second oldest local law society in the country and membership is currently open to practicing solicitors, legal executives, paralegals and university law lecturers together with some County Court Judges.  The Society is there not only to promote the interests of its members but also those of the clients of solicitors in the Yorkshire Law Society area. The new president of the Yorkshire Law Society has taken up office. Michael Peach, who is to hold the post in the society's 228th year, will combine his duties leading the solicitors of Yorkshire over the next 12 months with running the Wetherby office of Ware & Kay Solicitors, where he is a partner. He has an MBA in Legal Practice Management and is currently his firm's senior responsible officer for the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme. Martin House Children's Hospice is launching their second Make a Will Month, working with local solicitors Ware and Kay. During the month of May, you can make or update a Will with Ware & Kay for a reduced fee of £60 for a single simple Will and £110 for a pair. In the York area alone Martin House currently supports over 65 families. To these families with children with a shortened life expectancy the hospice, based in Clifford near Wetherby, provides support and practical help when it really matters. David, celebrated an evening with family, friends, colleagues, clients and former clients at the Ware & Kay offices at Sentinel House, Peasholme Green, York, on 28th March.  He has built up a long and distinguished reputation as one of the leading litigation and dispute resolution lawyers in Yorkshire with particular expertise in personal injury.
