Ware & Kay Solicitors are gearing up for another Tour de Yorkshire with riders passing their Wetherby offices on Friday 29th April. To make the most of this, Ware & Kay are supporting the local cycle shop, Wetherby Bike Shack, who are marking the event with some exciting activities for the community to take part in as they wait for the cyclists to race through the town. Dean Buckle, owner of the Wetherby Bike Shack and "Townsperson of the Year" is the driving force behind the Tour de Yorkshire events in conjunction with the Wetherby Town Council.  Dean is rallying the business community together including volunteers from the Wetherby Lions, the Fire Brigade and Sant' Angelo's Restaurant to create a fun day to enable the people of Wetherby and visitors to enjoy the full benefits…

Ware & Kay Solicitors Ltd and Pearsons & Ward are delighted to be taking part in a Cycleathon for Sport Relief covering a full circuit of their three offices. Sprint Cyclist, David Kershaw (Residential Property Solicitor) will be setting off from the York office in the morning, heading to Wetherby and then on to Pearsons & Ward at Malton before accelerating to the finish line back in York.   At the same time over 30 members of staff have volunteered to take up the indoor sprint cycling challenge, the aim being to race the same distance as David Kershaw on a static bike but beat him in terms of miles covered and time taken to complete the route (approximately 65 - 75 miles).  Once again, there will be a sprint finish as the indoor cyclists compete to…

23rd October 2015 Roger Boreham, a Solicitor for Ware & Kay with offices in York and Wetherby was today marking his retirement after over 41 years in the legal profession. Roger, 68, who is celebrating this evening with family, friends, colleagues and clients at The Wetherby Golf Club, built up a reputation as a hugely knowledgeable Wills & Probate solicitor with particular expertise in Tax Planning and Trusts. London born and with a science degree from Nottingham University, Roger worked initially for the Inland Revenue and then started in the legal profession in 1974. A York law firm dating back more than 200 years has merged with a historic Ryedale firm in a move to increase its client base and areas of expertise. Ware & Kay based in York's Peasholme Green and with a secondary office in Wetherby as of today officially merged with Malton-based Pearsons & Ward.
