All our offices are now open for pre-arranged appointments where a telephone meeting is not possible. Contact us as normal by phone or email to arrange a meeting to discuss your matter but please bear in mind that many of our staff continue to work from home so we can only see you if you have pre-arranged an appointment. Our main priority at this time is to maintain a safe environment for our staff and visitors to our offices so we ask that you assist us with this by following the guidelines set out below.  Solicitor & Head of Residential Property Department Penny Eedle is retiring from Ware & Kay Solicitors after 25 years with the firm. Penny has provided invaluable property advice to many clients over her legal career and has been instrumental in building up and running a successful residential property department in the York office. Holly Stevens will be taking over the role of Head of Residential Property and will be developing the department going forward. Penny qualified as a Solicitor in 1984 having studied law at Newcastle University. She joined the firm in 1995 and became Head of the Residential Property Department in 2003 looking after a busy team of fee earners and experienced support staff. As uncertainty mounts about Coronavirus in the UK, we wish to reassure all of our clients and contacts that it is business as usual. We have robust plans in place to minimise any disruption and will continue to operate as normal whilst also protecting our clients, our staff and the wider community. Ware & Kay Solicitors, one of West Yorkshire’s most established law firms, is relocating its Wetherby office in January 2020.  It is moving from its office in Brunswick Court, Victoria Street, to new offices on Wharfe Mews, just off Wetherby High Street. The relocation is a result of continued growth over recent years increasing the staff based at the current office.  The offices comprise of a modern two-storey premises with over 2,000 square feet of office space including staff workspaces, private consultation and conference rooms.  It offers free on-site parking to visitors and clients.  The move means that Ware & Kay Solicitors continue to be easily accessible remaining at the heart of Wetherby town centre. What job would you like to have other than your own? As I love what I do, I cannot really imagine doing anything else. However, I do enjoy helping the younger members of the Firm, passing on my knowledge and experience so perhaps teaching was a route I could have chosen. Greatest Achievement? Getting to where I am now.  It has not always been easy juggling work with family life and I could not have done it without the support of my husband and children.  I do look back sometimes and wonder how I managed it!
